Statue Display Stand

I built this stand to display a statue. The piece is similar to the tables that I have built and I used the same joinery techniques. The table is 24" high, 24" deep and 30" long. I used ebony and dark walnut stain for contrast and finished with lacquer.

Maple Dresser and Hutch

I made this maple dresser hutch combo for some friends. This was probably the most complex piece that I have built. It was fun but took a lot of time and was a little stressful. The most difficult part was staining and finishing.

Black Pie Safe Cabinet

This black and natural pine Pie Safe has a rustic feel. The doors have 3 raised panels and there are 2 adjustable shelves inside.

Barbie Dollhouse/Bookself

My dad and I made this dollhouse for the girls for Christmas. It works perfectly with the Barbies and can also be used as a bookshelf. We put cute little windows on the sides of the house.

Cottage Bench

This cottage style bench was fun to make. It is made completely of pine with a painted based and stained top. This bench is great for an entryway, porch and even can be used as a small coffee table. it is 18"H x 14W x 44L. I distressed one of the benches to give it an old, well-used look. I think that other colors, such as clapboard white, colonial blue, or even a red would look great.

Entryway Shoe Bench

Take your shoes off! This maple entryway bench will keep your shoes from being scattered all over the house. The flat black base has 6 cubbies with a stained benchtop. The bench is 34.5" long, 20" high and 15.5" deep.

Podium/Bookstand

I made this for a friend to be used as a classroom podium. It would also be a pretty cool bookstand for an old family bible or another special book. The piece is made entirely of stained solid maple. It is slightly distressed with rub-offs and cross grain scratches (and some dings)to give it a well-used look. The finish coat is a tinted poly. The hinged lid hides a storage compartment below with a functioning drawer beneath that. The shelf below the drawer is sturdy enough to hold additional books.

There are two, small functional drawers.

Maple Bedside tables

These maple bedide tables are similar to the alder end tables that I made earlier. They were fun to make but I do not like the staining and finishing part of building furniture.

Map Console Table

This unique table is designed to look like a table found in an old library. The two 3" drawers are flat and modeled after a drawer used to store a map or document. Below the drawers are two shelves, 8.5" and 10.5" high. The table is finished in flat, distressed black with a stained maple top. The overall dimensions are 36" long by 16.5" deep. The table is 34" tall. The legs are 1.75" square and slightly tapered on two sides. The table looks brown in the pictures but it is black as shown in the first photo.

Black Sofa Table

I know, I know...another black table. This is for a friend, who requested a black sofa table. The wood is poplar and pine and completely finished with a flat black paint. The finished table will be distressed. I may let the new owner determine how "distressed" this table will be. The measurements are 33" tall by 16" wide. The length is 55". The legs are slighly tapered on two sides. Since this is really a sofa table, I will ask the new owner to take pictures of the table once it is placed by the sofa.

Black Accent Table

Another table made from recycled wood! The base, excepting the stretcher, is made of black painted poplar. The stretcher and top are stained pine planks. The table measures 35" long by 16 1/2" wide. The table is 30 1/4" tall with 22 inches between the top of the stretcher and the bottom of the table top. The stretcher is 7 1/2" off the floor. Each leg has a slight, short taper on 2 sides.

Pottery Barn Style Entryway Shelf

This is for a coworker. I enjoyed making the shelf but I hate painting! The shelf was made of Poplar with a gloss white paint coat. This was patterned after the Pottery Barn entryway shelf.

Alder End Tables

I made these 2 end tables for Cyndee's birthday. The tables are made of alder and are from the free stash that I got from localwoodshop. I went to buy some wood and the guy there gave me the wood that they considered scrap and were going to throw away. These tables were made completely from free hardwood. The legs are 2" square and tapered on 2 sides. The finish is "Vermont Maple" with a couple of laquer coats. I had a good time making these tables!

Cottage-Style Tables

Sometimes I make something just to see if I can do it. I decided to make the blue "distressed" table and then kept making more with different colors. I am now selling off the "surplus", which is the black one, ivory one, and green one.

Cottage-Style entryway or console table made of solid pine and meant to have that "old-time" look. Top is stained and legs and base are painted and slightly distressed. The drawer is functional and the legs are tapered on all four sides. The table measures 36” long by 10.5” wide by 31” tall.
